This web site illustrates a number of design choices that
represent our no-nonsense approach to interactive marketing
publications.
For example, we don't use artwork gratuitously, i.e., as mere eye-candy.
Instead, we use it to establish a brand identity and to accent certain
elements, such as sidebar comments. We use animation with restraint,
as it can become tiring when overdone.
A plain white background with black, blue or dark gray text makes
for easier reading. We could've used pickle-green and hot-pink, but
... well ... you get the picture. The verbiage is short and sweet
because most people don't enjoy scrolling long pages.
We're very careful about site organization and navigation,
and we're real nuts about keeping the visitor in the site so
that they don't wander away on distracting tangents. That's why you
won't find superfluous links on this sitewe want you to discover
what we, not someone else, can do for you.
We considered many other factors in building this site, most of which
are far too technical and boring to discuss here. Let's just say that
we demonstrate our appreciation for best practices by understanding
the relationship between form and function in online publications.
Have a look at the interactive examples in our Portfolio pages, and
you'll see what we mean. |
